From Team WAF we would like to extend our sincere thanks to all our guests for contributing to what was an incredibly successful and enjoyable event.

This event is made possible in part by our sponsors, to each of whom we are very grateful.

We were delighted to have Quentin Willson with us again this year as our compere for the night, sharing his valuable knowledge of the automotive sector as well as entertaining our guests.

We were honoured to have our Minister for Economy and Transport, Ken Skates AM in attendance as our special guest and his address was very positive, acknowledging the exciting activities and opportunities that lie ahead for our sector.

Our Keynote this year was delivered by Dr Andy Palmer CMG, President & Group CEO, Aston Martin Lagonda
We were thrilled to welcome Dr Palmer back and it was great to have so many of the Aston team present, especially on the eve of the official opening of their St Athan facility.

Our guests were able to view the DBX on arrival at the hotel.

Our Chair Prof Richard Parry-Jones CBE acknowledged the capabilities and competencies of our Welsh based Supply Chain as well as referencing the current and future challenges facing the sector.

As is tradition we were delighted to host the final of the EESW Student of the Year Award.  These awards highlight the fantastic achievements of the students, with Inyoung Baek from Brynteg School being announced as this year's winner.  Many congratulations to all the finalists.

If you would like to find out more about the EESW, their Annual Awards and the fantastic work they do please follow the link.  They would be delighted to hear from any companies who may be interested in engaging with students in problem-solving project work.  These activities are incredibly important to our sector, its future-state and are whole-heartedly supported by the WAF
