Industry Support
Industry Wales is, with its specialist aerospace, automotive and electronics, software and technology forums, helping to grow Welsh technology and manufacturing businesses, globally.
The forums, with a combined membership of approaching 400 leading Welsh companies, provide a range of services to support companies already established within Wales and to attract and support companies that are seeking a world class location for their business.
Led by the private sector and working closely with the Welsh Government, sector panels and other bodies, Industry Wales is focussed on the following key areas that need to be addressed to continue to achieve sustained, profitable growth in the economy
The Welsh Government is the devolved Government for Wales
We are working to help improve the lives of people in Wales and make our nation a better place in which to live and work.
The Welsh Government consists of:
The First Minister
Welsh Ministers
The Counsel General
Deputy Ministers.
They are supported by civil servants who work across devolved areas that include key areas of public life such as health, education and the environment.
We aim to be open and responsive to the needs of citizens and communities and are one of the few governments in the world that publishes Cabinet minutes and papers. Responsibility for most key areas of public life including health, education and environment is devolved.
With offices across Wales, including Merthyr Tydfil, Aberystwyth and Llandudno Junction, we are getting closer to the people we serve.
The Automotive Council was established in 2009 to enhance dialogue and strengthen co-operation between UK government and the automotive sector. The Council is made up of senior figures from across industry and government.

The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) exists to support and promote the interests of the UK automotive industry at home and abroad.
Working closely with member companies, SMMT acts as the voice of the motor industry, promoting its position to government, stakeholders and the media.
Enabling the UK motor industry to fulfil its potential, SMMT addresses the major issues that impact on the automotive sector
Small and Medium Enterprises (SME's) are constantly searching for new customers to sell their services to. Also, it is amazing how many tools and services are available free of charge or a nominal cost which could save time and effort but can they link to other applications to provide the right tools that can be expanded and grow with the organisation?

The Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) exists to position the UK as a centre of excellence for low carbon propulsion development and production. The Advanced Propulsion Centre was formed in 2013 and is a £1 billion, ten-year commitment between government and the automotive industry. The APC is a private limited company, an industry-wide collaboration of innovators and producers of low carbon propulsion systems. The APC facilitates partnerships between those who have good low carbon propulsion ideas and those who can bring them to market.
